Italy is renowned worldwide for its exceptional cuisine and it is, for many, one of the main reasons and attractions for visiting. The food and wine is all local to whichever area of Italy one is visiting and that makes it so much more interesting and fascinating. Many clients love to have the opportunity to have a day’s lesson at their villa or hotel whilst others may like to partake in a full week’s course with more complicated dishes. The ingredients are of course what really count and everything in Italy is seasonal and regional so the choice and variety is like manna from heaven!
I can help organise a cookery lesson for the day at one’s villa, a private group for a long weekend in a selected exclusive villa of one’s choice or a more intensive and structured course for a week at a private villa in the Veneto.
Be it a few hours of fun with a local cook learning simply typical dishes or full immersion into more detailed and elaborate dishes, I am ready to assist. For many clients one of their lasting memories of a holiday in Italy is their day(s) with a local Italian learning to make their own pasta accompanied by a yummy sauce using ingredients from the ‘orto’ and olive oil from the estate. So many clients have commented on the fun time experienced with their local cook at the villa and how much they have learnt whilst others have been thrilled with the opportunity to spend a full week in a glorious Italian villa cooking, tasting and experimenting with an expert professional chef.
